Androkids 2 is a platform game by Julien Meyer (jmApp) for iPhone and iPad, for players of all ages. This page explains, for parents, what data the game handles. Julien Meyer is the data controller. Contact: jadeware@gmail.com.
The only thing the game stores is a counter of how many times it has been launched (so that no ad is shown the very first time), in the app's own storage on the device. It is never sent to me or to anyone else. Deleting the app removes it.
Androkids 2 shows full-screen ads when the game starts and between levels, at most one every two minutes. They are provided by Google AdMob, the only third-party service in the game. Every ad request is configured as follows:
As a result, Google does not show personalised or interest-based ads, does not build an advertising profile, and does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA). The game never asks for permission to track. To deliver an ad, Google necessarily receives technical information such as the device's IP address, the device type, the operating system version and the language, which it uses only to serve the ad, limit how often the same ad is shown, measure it and prevent fraud. See Google's policy for child-directed ad requests (COPPA) and Google's privacy policy.
Tapping an ad opens the advertiser's page or the App Store. Ads are the only way to leave the game; there are no other links.
The game can be played with a game controller connected to the device. Button presses are handled on the device only.
Androkids 2 is a game for all ages and children may play it, so it is treated as child-directed: every ad request is flagged as such (see above). Because no personal information is collected, there is nothing for a parent to review or delete on my side. If you believe information about your child has reached me anyway (for example in an email you sent), contact me and I will delete it.
You can ask any question about this policy, or exercise your rights to access or delete data, by writing to jadeware@gmail.com. I will answer within one month. If you live in the EU, you can also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
I will update this page before any change in what the game does with data. The date at the top shows the latest version.
